La Possente Mano del Desierto di Atacama, in Cile /The Powerful hand of Atacama Desert, Chile

Ciao amici oggi vi porto virtualmente  a sud di Antofagasta, una piccola città, e a 350 metri dalla Route 5, che passa sull’altopiano di Atacama in CILE - Alla scoperta di una immensa opera d'arte ,un'enorme mano che appunto si innalza nel deserto di Atacama

Denominata "La Mano del Desierto" nasce  nel lontano 1992,un'altezza di undici metri, e ovviamente da sempre " uno "stop"  dovuto lungo il cammino di tanti viaggiatori che attraversano questa parte del deserto davvero senza il nulla ed arido al massimo..Un'opera d'arte creata da Mario Irarrázabal,scultore, come riferimento alla situazione che avveniva in Cile a riguardo il regime militare che procurava abusi,ingiustizie e tante vittime.. 

L'artista ha un importante spessore internazionale e da sempre impegnato con le sue opere a schierarsi dalla parte delle ingiustizie! (e' possibile vedere opere simili dello stesso artista anche nel Juan Carlos Park di Madrid, in Spagna con la mano fuoriuscente dal terreno OPPURE in in Uruguay con l' Hombre Emergiendo a la vida)

Nel deserto di Atacama *LA RIFLESSIONE* e' immediata sia in foto che dal vivo non appena si intravede questa enorme mano uscire dalla sabbia del deserto, quasi ti obbliga a fermare il tuo passaggio li' e con forza chiedendo un aiuto se non L'AIUTO! 

L'opera infatti rappresenta artisticamente la solitudine e vuole essere una richiesta di protezione  sulla mano stessa priva di recinti e salvaguardie a riprova di un luogo isolato e non ospitale affatto che forse andrebbe piu' protetto  come destinazione -Una metafora certamente appropriata! 

Hello friends today I take you virtually south of Antofagasta, a small town, 350 meters from Route 5, crossing the Atacama desert in CHILE - Discovering an immense work of art, a huge hand  coming out of the Atacama desert sand.

Called "The hand of the Desert" - La Mano del Desierto", it was created in 1992, eleven meters high, and obviously always "a stage" that attracting  all travelers and visitors from all over the world ...All people who cross this part of the desert  without anything and arid at best. 

The master piece  it was created by  sculptor Mario Irarrázabal  in reference to the situation that was occurring in Chile regarding the military regime that caused abuses, injustices and numerous victims.

The artist has an important international background and has always been committed with his arty works to take the side of injustices! (his similar works can also be seen in the Juan Carlos Park in Madrid, Spain, with the hand protruding from the ground OR in Uruguay with the Hombre Emergiendo a la vida)

In the Atacama Desert the* REFLECTION * is immediate as soon as you glimpse this huge hand coming out of the desert sand, it almost forces you to stop your passage there while asking for your help!

The art work, in fact represents solitude and wants to be a request for protection on the hand itself without fences and safeguards as proof of an isolated and not at all hospitable place that perhaps should be more protected as a destination - A metaphor certainly appropriate!
